Wheatley Windmill

About 6 miles east of Oxford, off A40, ¼ mile west of Wheatley, turn right from Ladder Hill into Windmill Lane.
An octagonal 3-storey stone tower mill, which dates from 1764. The mill used to grind ochre as well as wheat.
Privately owned, but under restoration by volunteers. Cap and sails replaced.
Opening times
2nd Sunday in month, May 11.00 – 1800; June to September 14.00 – 18.00; October 14.00 – 17.00. Parties by appointment.
National Mills Weekend opening times
Saturday and Sunday 11.00-18.00.
