About 2½ miles east of Croydon centre. Take A232 from Croydon to Shirley. Turn right at roundabout, then across second roundabout. Mill is ½ mile on right, in Post Mill Close, off the Upper Shirley Road, Shirley, Croydon, Surrey

A 5-storey brick tower mill, built in 1855 on the site of an earlier post mill. Last worked in 1892. Mill has sails with skeleton shutters and fantail and a Kentish cap. Most machinery remains.  

Opening times
National Mills Sunday, 12.00 – 17.00, then June to October, first Sunday in the month, 14.00 – 17.00. London Open House Sunday, 12.00 - 17.00.  Guided parties only; tour takes 1 hour. School and adult groups at other times by appointment.
