Chesterton Windmill

Between Warwick & Banbury, 1.5 miles NE of A41, at roundabout 7 miles from Warwick.

A unique stone windmill, built on a circular arcade with six columns. Built in 1632-3 for Sir Edward Peyto, a local landowner. The mill worked until 1910. It contains wooden machinery including a lantern pinion and two pairs of millstones. Restored in 1971, and in the care of Warwickshire County Council.

Opening times
Chesterton Windmill opens on one weekend each year, usually in early September. More details can be found on the mill's special Facebook page. (It is not necessary to have a Facebook account to see this site.)
