Aythorpe Roding Windmill

On B184, 1 mile north of Leaden Roding. No parking at mill. Please park in lay-by on main road opposite lane to mill.
The largest post mill remaining in Essex, built before 1770 and worked until 1932. Restored to working order
in 1981 by Essex County Council. Sails turn and flour milled occasionally. Postcards & souvenirs.
Teas in village hall on open days.
Opening times April to September, last Sunday in each month, 14.00-17.00. Party visits by appointment. Essex County Council
will endeavour to open some of its mills not normally open to the public on heritage open days in September.
