  Patterson's Spade Mill,  Templepatrick

Three miles E of Templepatrick on A6 Belfast to Antrim road, between Sandyknowes, Glengormley and Templepatrick roundabouts.

The last surviving water-powered spade mill in Ireland. Spades were made here until 1990. The original equipment has been fully restored and is now again in production, employing two spade makers. Owned by the National Trust.

Opening Times
Mid-March to May, & September to mid-October, Saturdays Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Easter week, every day.  June to August, daily, except Tuesdays. Opening hours 14.00 - 18.00.
