Signposted from the Ixworth bypass A143, 7 miles from Bury St Edmunds.

The present building is late 18th century. It has a large, high breastshot wheel and three pairs of millstones, plus a Blackstone oil engine and a very rare 'Midget' roller mill. Restored to working order and regularly producing flour all year.

Opening times 2017
1st April to 1st October: Thurs 10.00am 4.00pm   Sat, Sun & Bank Holidays 1.00 4.30pm Tea Room open as per Mill hours.  Milling on Thursdays 10.00am  11.30am approx.  Also on Sunday afternoons during August from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. Subject to operational constraints. 
Flour sales in closed season on Thursdays 09.00 - 11.00

National Mills Weekend opening times 2017
Saturday 13th May, and Sunday 14th May, 11.00-16.00. Art & Music at the Mill, BBQ, bar, refreshments and milling demonstrations.  

Group Visits
We are pleased to accept group bookings to the mill. We can accommodate groups of between 14 and 40 people. Your group can choose to enjoy a guided tour given by one of our experienced volunteers and perhaps refreshments in
our tea room afterwards.
