Signposted from the Ixworth bypass A143, 7 miles from Bury St Edmunds.

The present building is late 18th century. It has a large, high breastshot wheel and three pairs of millstones, plus a Blackstone oil engine and a very rare 'Midget' roller mill. Restored to working order and regularly producing flour all year.

Opening times 2016
26th March to 2nd October: Saturday, Sunday & bank holidays 13.30 - 17.00 (tea room open as mill, plus light lunches on open days 12.00 - 17.00 July - Aug). Milling on first Thursdays and most other Thursdays, 10.00-11.30 & Sundays 14.00-15.30 in July & August only.
Flour sales in closed season on Thursdays 09.00 - 11.00

National Mills Weekend opening times 2016
Saturday 14th May, 13.30-17.00, and Sunday 15th May, 11.00-16.00.
On Sunday 15th, come and see flour being milled and bread being baked in the old brick oven and talk to the millers and bakers.  The 100 year old Blackstone oil engine will also be running; BBQ, refreshments, Maypole dancing, a bread competition, Model boats on the water, Live Music and more!

Group Visits
We are pleased to accept group bookings to the mill. We can accommodate groups of between 14 and 40 people. Your group can choose to enjoy a guided tour given by one of our experienced volunteers and perhaps refreshments in
our tea room afterwards.
