On A6, 1 mile S of Matlock Bath.

Built in 1783 as the showpiece mills of Sir Richard Arkwright.  Now a working textile mill museum, producing cloth on old looms. Originally water-powered by the river Derwent. Water turbines still exist. Tearoom, restaurant and shopping village on site.

Opening Times
All year, daily. Weekdays 10.00 – 16.00. Saturdays 11.00 – 17.00. Sundays 11.00 – 16.00. Closed Christmas & Easter days.
