Signposted at the junction of A1000 and A414 between Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City, near junction 4 on A1(M). Follow brown signs.

An 18th century watermill which has now been restored to working order. There is a low breastshot waterwheel. Milling normally takes place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays.
The mill is also the social history museum for the borough of Welwyn Hatfield, and has a full programme of events, exhibitions and activities all year round: check website for details.

All year, Tuesday to Friday, 10.00-17.00. Saturday, Sunday & bank holidays, 14.00-17.00. Other times by appointment.
