About 8 miles E of Gosforth. Quarter mile from Dalgarth Station, terminus of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway

Built on an early site, the mill has two external overshot wheels, one in stone bearings, with original wooden machinery, and an oatmeal kiln. It can be seen working daily, and mills animal feed for demonstration.
New waterwheel generator also in operation.

Opening times 2018
Closed throughout 2018. The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded £842,000 for the millís restoration. £75,000 from the Copeland Community Fund and other contributions make the total value of the project nearly £1 million, although we are still £29,000 short of our target.   Construction work is scheduled to begin in April 2018 and be completed in one year. A new resident manager will then move into the refurbished cottage. We hope to open the restored mill in June 2019
