A mill powered by water, used for beetling - the last process in the manufacture of linen. Seven beetling engines are powered by a breastshot waterwheel. Machinery is in working order, and is demonstrated. Owned by the National Trust. Shop. Exhibition of linen. Costumed guide. Hands-on demonstrations for children.

Opening times

Mid-March to June, and September, Saturdays, Sundays & bank holidays, 14.00-18.00. July and August, daily except Wednesdays, 14.00-18.00. Easter week, Monday, Tuesday and Friday to Sunday 13.00-18.00.
