About 9 miles E of Dundee, 2 miles W of Carnoustie, between A92 and A930. Follow brown signs.

A 3-storey red sandstone water-powered oatmeal mill, rebuilt in 1814 following a fire, incorporating an earlier round kiln. Last worked commercially 1982. Bought by National Trust for Scotland 1988. All remaining machinery works for demonstration, grinding animal feed. Milling demonstrations Sunday afternoons.

April to October: Mondays and Thursday-Saturday, 12.00-17.00; Sundays 13.00-17.00. Parties by arrangement.

National Mills Weekend opening times

Saturday 12.00-17.00, Sunday 13.00-17.00.
