Annalong Corn Mill, County Down

At Annalong Harbour, on A2, about 6 miles S of Newcastle.

A 2-storey, stone-built corn mill, dating from 1830. Last worked commercially in 1965 and restored in the 1980s. There is a turning overshot waterwheel, three pairs of millstones, a kiln, oatmeal machinery and a 1920 Marshall hot-bulb oil engine. The mill is owned by Newry and Mourne District Council.

Opening times

April to October, Wednesday to Monday, 14.00-18.00. Parties at other times by arrangement.
