A restored water-powered scythe works dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The complex includes water-powered tilt hammers, a grinding hull and hand forges; a workman's cottage, and manager's house.

Opening times 2017
All year, Monday to Thursday, 10.00-16.00, Sundays 11.00-16.45. Closed Fridays & Saturdays. Parties at other times by arrangement.

See the restored four waterwheels turn and our engine in steam for the first time as part of National Mills Weekend 2017 and hear how our very own team of engineers trained to conserve and restore the Hamlet's machinery.
Youngsters can enjoy our miniature and model steam engines display whilst learning all about power!
