Alderford Street Watermill

In Alderford Street, Sible Hedingham.

A typical rural watermill with tiled gambrel roof, undergoing extensive restoration by Essex County Council. Built in the 18th century, and last worked in the 1950s. The mill contains a breastshot waterwheel and two pairs of millstones.

Opening times

The second Sunday of each month from April until September, 14.00-17.00. Parties at other times by special appointment.
