National Mills Weekend 2014

Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May 2014

 Tales From the Mill

For National Mills Weekend 2014, our theme is 'Tales from the Mill', linking to the national campaign by the Heritage Lottery Fund 'All our Stories', encouraging everyone to share and record their stories and experiences - in our case stories about the people involved with mills today and in the past.

If you or your family have stories to tell about a particular mill, we want to hear from you! We are working with the Mills Archive, our national archive for all things Mills related. We want you to write or record your story about your relationship with a mill - perhaps your grandfather was a miller or a farmer who took grain to your local mill and has a story to tell? Perhaps you helped save a mill from destruction in the 1950s or 1960s?

Perhaps you live in a converted mill?

Tell us your story at
